The Meaning Of Being Born Again

Jesus Explains The Meaning Of Being Born Again
Nicodemus was a ruler of the Israelite, and he was earnest, learned and devout. He saw the master's signet in the face of Jesus as He talked, but was not brave enough to publicly confess his faith in Jesus. So in the night, he went to talk with Jesus at the home of Jude. When Jesus saw him come, He said,

“Full blessed are the pure in heart.
Twice blessed are the pure in heart, who are fearless.
and thrice blessed are the fearless and pure in heart,

who dare to make confession of their true faith

 before the highest courts.”

And Nicodemus said, “Hail, Master, hail! I know you are a teacher come from God, for man alone could never teach as you have taught; and could never do the works that you have done.”
And Jesus said, “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the king; he cannot comprehend the words I speak.”

And Nicodemus said, “How can a man be born again?

Can he go back into the womb and come again to life?”
And Jesus said, “The birth which I speak about is not the birth of flesh. Except a man be born of holy water and the Holy Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of the Holy One. That which is born of flesh is a child of man; and that which is born of Holy Spirit is a child of God. The winds blow where they please. Humanity hear their sounds, and observe the moving signs and forms, but they do not know from where the winds come, nor where the winds go; and so is every one that is born of Holy Spirit.”

The ruler said, “I do not understand; pray tell me plainly what you mean.”
And Jesus said, “The kingdom of the Holy One is in the soul. Humanity cannot see it with their carnal eyes; and with all their reasoning powers, they comprehend it not. It is a life deeply hid in God. Its recognition is the work of inner consciousness, through quiet time and meditation.
“The kingdoms of the world are kingdoms seen with the physical eyes, but the kingdom of the Holy One is a kingdom that exists in spirit and in silence; a kingdom accessible by faith, which is the knowledge of the truth and abiding in the truth; by quiet time and meditation, which is the pathway to your father’s house, the Kingdom of Heaven; and by obedience to the eternal laws of God. Its king is Love. Humanity cannot see the love of the unmanifest God, and so God our Father has clothed this love with flesh - flesh of a son of man – the God Almighty has come in the midst of humanity, manifest as myself, Jesus Christ, whom you see. That the world may see and know this Love made manifest.

“There is the need for the son of man to be lifted up. As Moses raised up the serpent for the healing of the flesh in the wilderness, even so the son of man must be raised up. That all humanity bitten by the serpent of the dust, the forces of darkness and powers of darkness, the serpent of this carnal life, may live. He who believes in Him shall have everlasting life. For God so loved the world that He sent forth Himself, as the only FirstSon, to be raised up, that humanity may see and reap the love of God. God did not send His FirstSon to judge the world; He sent Him forth to save the world; to bring humanity to the light.

But humanity do not love the light, for light reveals their evils and wickedness. The light has come into the world, and humanity loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. Now, everyone who loves the truth comes to the light. He does not fear to have his works made manifest.”

The light had come into Nicodemus, he found and received the spirit of truth and salvation; and Nicodemus went his way. He knew the meaning of the birth of Holy Spirit. He felt the presence of the Holy Spirit in his soul. And Jesus tarried in Jerusalem for many days, taught and healed the sick. The people gladly listened to His words, and many left their all of carnal things and followed Him.

The Visit Of Nicodemus

Now there was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicode′mus, a ruler of the Jews.  This man came to Jesus by night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that you do, unless God is with him.”  Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born anew, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

Nicode′mus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”  Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of holy water and the Holy Spirit  he cannot enter the kingdom of God.  That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.  Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born anew.’  The wind blows where it wills, and you hear the sound of it, but you do not know whence it comes or whither it goes; so it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

Nicode′mus said to him, “How can this be?”  Jesus answered him, “Are you a teacher of Israel, and yet you do not understand this?  Truly, truly, I say to you, we speak of what we know, and bear witness to what we have seen; but you do not receive our testimony.  If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how can you believe if I tell you heavenly things?  John 3:1-12

About the Pharisees and Sadducees

When the FirstSon was here on earth, it was supposed that the Pharisees and Sadducees should have provided for Him and given Him full and solid support?

Yes, my Lord.

But, the Pharisees and Sadducees did not do the needful … They were spiritually blind, and did not know what they should know. Not only that they were blind, they had the spirit of jealousy and greediness. They wanted to be the leaders, so that the public should always honour and respect them. The number of their bad behaviours, the unrighteousness in their bodies, were so many. Human beings do not worth anything to them.

The Pharisees and Sadducees were blood-suckers, they were drinking blood.

Son of man, was there any time God the Father said that after killing an animal that people should drink the blood?

No, my Lord.

Son of man, was there any time God the Father said that after killing a pigeon that people should drink the blood?

No, my Lord. God said that people should dig hole in the ground, pour the blood inside and cover it with sands.

Son of man, all the animals that they were killing and drinking the blood, all the animals were giving reports before God, crying. That was one of the reason why God the Father sent His FirstSon.

Do you know what the Pharisees leaned on, the reasons they gave?

It was the rams and pigeons that God the Father directed to be used for sacrifice. But, people did not know what the Pharisees were doing with the blood, that the Pharisees were drinking the blood …

About Nicodemus

Son of man, who was Nicodemus?

He was among those supporting the FirstSon.

What is the meaning of the name, Nicodemus?

Son of man, Nicodemus and his group were hypocrites. They were not standing in one place, with one leg here and the other leg there. But himself did not know why God the Father gave him that name. They were hypocrites, belonging to two opposing groups at the same time. What saved him was that he later found the Truth.

One major lesson here is that things are not always the way people expect. Once a person’s name is mentioned in the bible, people usually think that the person is a righteous man before God Almighty. It is not so. Some were righteous, but many were not righteous.

Being Born Again

Why was Jesus telling him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born anew, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”?

What does it mean to be born of water and spirit?

It means that by the word of God, sins are taken away from people, who commit sin…

Son of man, you answered very well.

Son of man, what the minsters should understand is their conducts. By the time you speak, you should know what to say and how well to say it – think and consider well the implications of what you say before saying it, if it is necessary to say it; you should not be talkative.  They, the religious leaders then, did not study Spiritual Science at all. They did not know what Spiritual Science means. They were committing various abominations, ticklishness. They were pretending to be worshipping God Almighty. But they did not know what they were doing – they were not doing the right things.

Immediately Nicodemus was born, the angels gave him that name, Nicodemus. And Jesus was saying to him, “Are you a teacher of Israel, and yet you do not understand this?

When the FirstSon said this to him, He also told him… but Nicodemus did not know that there were easy way to worship God. He later repented and joined the disciples of Jesus Christ.

People thought that to live a righteous life was something very hard. This is what people should do. Just like Mary Magdalene, they have to follow Jesus Christ. Whatever He tells them to do, let them do so. As simple as that. But the Pharisees were worshipping God the hard way. They kept themselves busy fasting and praying...

This person, Nicodemus, did he suffer himself?

Did he spend many days in fasting and praying, before he found the Lord and Saviour?

No, my Lord.

Mary Magdalene, did she suffer herself?

No, my Lord.

All the people that followed Jesus Christ, did they suffer?

No, my Lord.

Have you seen what I am saying?

When you come before the FirstSon, He has already known the questions that you will ask Him.

You know how Jesus Christ, the FirstSon of God, is welcomed in the temple here in DivineBase Ministry, that was how the Pharisees were being welcomed into the temple. People would not even raise their heads, until the Pharisees finish coming in and taking their seats.

The New Birth

Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

Nicodemus said to Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?"

Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of holy water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. John 3:3-5

Explanations:

1.     A person is born again through the water, blood, spirit, salt, fire and glory.

2.     By water, through the water of baptism, by immersion into a flowing stream. On immersion, the person dies spiritually, and on coming out of the water, he resurrects with the Saviour and lives for ever, free from the eternal condemnation. The eternal condemnation is separation from God and torment inside hell fire.

3.     By blood, through the blood of Jesus, which makes a person good and perfect, pure and holy, as he originally was when God created him new.

4.     By spirit, through hearing the word of God, which is food for the body, soul and spirit. It is the spirit of God that sustains all things and enables everything to do its works. Hence, “Not by might nor by power, but by my spirit,” says the Lord.

5.     By salt, because the person must know and abide by Everlasting Covenant of God, which is the Sabbath way of life, the way of truth and the only way to salvation. And not by the multiplication of religions and diversity of churches, called freedom of worship, which are nothing but the multiplicity of idolatry, and which are man-made laws and doctrines for serving the antichrist.

6.     And finally, by glory, when each person is completely transformed by the glory of God, to be perfect as the heavenly Father is perfect. Then, the person becomes one with the father, for the glory of God is the very nature of God. Then, the person becomes good, pure, holy, perfect and incorruptible.

Spirit And Flesh Are Mutually Exclusive

That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit." John 3:6-8

Explanations:

1.     It should not surprise you that man must be born again for the original man created by God has been corrupted by the Devil, corrupted with evil thoughts, spoken vulgar words and committed bad actions.

2.     He has been exposed to evils, made to see and experience evils, as well filled with the evil spirit that he is currently totally selfish, disobedient and stubborn, and always prone to do evil.

3.     The worldly man must be born again, just as a new dress that is dirty must be restored anew through immersion in water, washing with soap and spread in the air to dry under the sun.

4.     Neither the spirit nor the word of God became flesh when Jesus was born. The spirit is quite separate and different from the flesh. The spirit indwells the body, just as human beings wear all kinds of dresses. The person is not the dress, and the dress is not the human being; and just as the drink is not the cup and the food is not the plate.

5.     Every child of God should be led by the Holy Spirit, who is omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient. The Holy Spirit knows the destination and the way, which destination is heaven and God Almighty. Also, the Holy Spirit knows how to get to the destination, unlike so many ministers of God and women in the ministry, who know neither the destination nor how to get to the destination.

6.     All religions and churches should teach people how to recognize, welcome and relate with Holy Spirit, by teaching people Spiritual Science and by encouraging them to practice it.

7.     It is the Holy Spirit that knows all the places and experiences relevant for a person’s spiritual growth. The same Holy Spirit can make the right connections.

8.     Therefore, all families, all religious, all governments and all societies must allow the Holy Spirit to say what should be done, how it should be done, where it should be done, when it should be done, and with what means and materials.

9.     People can ensure this perfect way by inquiring from God, and not by each person doing whatever he decides or likes, and as well not by forming various kinds of churches in the name of freedom of worship.

Knowledge Is Different From Believing

Nicodemus answered and said to Him, “How can these things be?"

Jesus answered and said to him, "Are you the teacher of Israel, and do not know these things? Most assuredly, I say to you, We speak what We know and testify what We have seen, and you do not receive Our witness. John 3:9-11

Explanations:

1.     Religious leaders, who are parading themselves about, are spiritually blind, ignorant and lazy.

2.     They are spiritually blind because they failed to study and practice Spiritual Science, and cannot see the spiritual realities of life.

3.     They are spiritually ignorant, because they continue to ignore the realities of life.

4.     And they are spiritually lazy, because they remain in their comfort zones, which are man-made laws and doctrines, which separate them from the Truth and make them to continue with their figments of imaginations, the fabrications of falsehood, and the deceptions of the enemy.

5.     Only three persons can teach the Truth. One is the person who comes from heaven. The second is the person who has visited heaven, and the third is the person who is taught by the Holy Spirit. The rest, who are in the majority, are just ignorant noisemakers and hypocrites. Whoever follows them have nothing to gain from them, except confusion, lies and fabrications.

Lost Opportunity

Apostle Matthew: What was Nicodemus?

You said he was a hypocrite, but who later found the truth and followed Jesus Christ.

Apostle Matthew: Son of man, what is the meaning of nicodemus?

The Head: It means a hypocrite.

Apostle Matthew: Son of man, … Nicodemus did not know where to stand, whether to follow Jesus or the Pharisees and Sadducees. That is hypocrisy. But by the time he found the truth, it was no longer the works that God expected from him that he did, because his time was very short, by the time he found the truth. Himself could not do the works – he did not live long afterwards.
